Kansas City Chiefs Team Up With Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Kansas City Chiefs fans had a lot to be excited about with the upcoming season on the horizon. A proven coach in Andy Reid, a young, exciting quarterback in Patrick Mahomes, and a flashy tight end in Travis Kelce just to name a few. The Chiefs faithful could not wait to show their team pride. That is why so many went to McDonalds to get their Chiefs Kingdom Flags back in September. The money from the flags would be donated back to the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City. However the Chiefs did not want to just donate the money, they wanted to hand deliver the check to The Ronald McDonald House. The total funds that the Kansas City Chiefs donated was $388,112. The total included the $300,000 in flag sales as well as the Red Friday sales and the proceeds from the Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 raffle.The money is enough to support 783 families to have a five night stay at the Ronald McDonald House. On hand to present the check at the Kansas City Ronald McDonald House were Chiefs Executive Vice President of Business Operations Tyler Epp and Chiefs Offensive Linemen Cameron Erving and Jeff Allen. The folks at The Ronald McDonald house realize what a great privilege it is to be partnered with an organization that takes so much pride in giving back to their community. Erving was thrilled to be involved with the presentation of the check, he is very grateful for everything RMHC does for the local community."When fans are willing to give back to people just like this, it helps me remember that there's more than football. I have a great platform to promote these types of things, but people have hearts and realize that life is special. It reminds me to live every day and to be thankful." This was the fifth straight year that flag sales have benefited The Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City. Over the last four years, the Chiefs have raised over $1 million through flag sales for RMHC.
